Ordering

Orders are processed daily in the order they are received from the shopping cart. Add a note to your order if you have a question or request, and we'll address it as best we can. Local customers who want to pick up their orders will find these options available in the checkout process.

Please be sure the shipping address you provide is correct. You will be responsible for any charges incurred in re-shipping the order to the correct address. If we made the mistake, we will pay for the costs. The order confirmation email we both receive following your order will serve as a basis for responsibility. If you catch an error right away, call or email us immediately. We're happy to make corrections before orders are mailed with no costs to anyone!

Shipping

Timing: Herbaliz products are handmade and as fresh as possible. Some of the products will be made only upon your order. We try to make and ship within a week of the placed order, which means that you may have to allow for up to 3 weeks for delivery. (That hardly ever happens.) We will do our best to keep you informed about expected timing. Our experience so far indicates that most orders arrive within a week.

Charges: The site calculates shipping charges based on the weight of the items using actual rates provided by the shipper. Boxes may go by USPS Express, Priority, or Ground Advantage or by UPS Ground (carbon neutral). USPS Ground Advantage replaces First Class which they have discontinued. It is listed as taking 5 days compared to 3 days for Priority.

The shipping calculator tends to overcharge for large orders. With that in mind we offer a $20.05 flat rate shipping option called "Those rates are too high." We would then pick the cheapest shipping method, and charge no more than $20.05 for shipping. If you must have it delivered by a particular carrier and still want the $20.05 rate, email immediately and we will do what we can to accommodate you. ($20.05 is the cost for shipping a large USPS flat rate box.)

If any order with USPS shipping fits in a flat rate box at a lower shipping cost, we will use it and reduce the charge accordingly. Click here for more info. Since our shipping calculator has no way of knowing if an order can fit in a flat rate box, we can't incorporate it into the cart. We reserve the right to determine if an order will fit.

Shipping credits can be redeemed by entering your firstnamelastname, all lowercase, in the discount box at your next checkout. If credits have accumulated to an amount greater than $10.00 and you don't redeem them, they will be refunded to you via the payment method you use at your next order. (We used to refund them all, every time, but the transaction fees have increased, making it unworkable. If you really want the refund instead of the credit, send us an email, and we'll do it.)

International: International orders are now limited to Canada. International shipping fees are calculated based on weight and distance, plus $2.50 to cover the extra paperwork. USPS First Class (up to 4 pounds only) and Priority mail options are available. We will use Flat Rate Boxes if they result in reduced cost, and refund the difference.

We have added a new option for First Class International orders to Canada that includes prepaid duties and taxes for a flat fee of $7.25. The fee covers all taxes including duties and value added taxes (VAT). The package is delivered directly to your door without delay or any fees due upon delivery.

Please note that undiluted essential oils can not be included in international orders.

Lost or Missing Packages: This is a rare occurrence, but does happen occasionally. Action on lost or missing packages will be decided on a case by case basis. Click here for helpful information on recovering lost packages.

Materials: We recycle shipping materials. If you get a box from us with another company's name on it, it is because they have shipped something to us in it. We also recycle all the packing materials we receive from others, so you may find peanuts one time and bubble wrap the next. Another small way to reduce the landfill and keep shipping costs down. When we run out of those, we use recycled paper, which is the only packing material we actually buy. Please recycle the materials we send you, or give them to someone who can!

Legal: Any undiluted essential oils are required by law to be sent by surface/ground mail.

We reserve the right to request payment in advance for first time purchases and orders of more than $100.00 that are to be made by check, cash or money order.

Alabama residents must pay sales tax of 10%.

Prices are subject to change. Our products are made from plants and their availability and therefore their cost fluctuates. We will do everything in our power to keep the listed prices up to date, but can't be held responsible for crop failures. (at least we don't think so...) horsetail

Return Policy

We do not accept returns of products that have been opened/tried/used, unless there is something wrong with the product itself. We offer small sizes and work hard to keep prices reasonable to minimize the investment in untried products, and a sample can be provided with an order over $35.

If there is something wrong with the product, give us a call and we will replace it or make a full refund. We may ask you to return the product (at our expense) so that we can determine what went wrong and how to correct the problem.

Unopened, unused products may be returned within 14 days of receipt if purchased in error. Shipping costs for returns must be paid for by the purchaser. Routinely, store credit will be provided. If you prefer a refund, call and we will collect the information necessary to do so.
